Challenge #365 - 7th Birthday: CAS Dry Embossing

Hey LIMettes!

Here we go with our second challenge of our birthday month to celebrate our 7th birthday!

Once again we've invited 4 of our most recent Design Team members back to guest design alongside the regular DT and we're delighted that Tara of Seven Hills Crafts has also agreed to be a Guest Designer as well as sponsoring this challenge.

Since stepping down from the Less is More Challenge Design Team, SarahG certainly hasn't been sitting around on her laurels ... instead she's developed a fantastic Folksy Store HERE selling her laser-cut stencils and MDF shapes as well as Greetings Cards and Home Decor items.

Sarah is also offering a spectacular prize, for this month only, of 2 of her stencils to one lucky player AND we've another randomly selected mystery prize giveaway too. Please Note: To be eligible for either of these 2 prizes you need to play along in both challenges this month.

So let's get down to announcing our challenge, the theme of which often causes much debate in blogland as to whether this technique is acceptable in a Clean and Simple Challenge.

Here's our guidelines for Dry Embossing:

Embossing folders, designed to give texture to your project, can be used for our CAS challenges, ideally covering only a small portion of your card around the focal point. Where an embossing folder is used to create texture over the entire card front this must be a very subtle / barely there pattern so as not to distract from your focal point.

To be eligible for ShowCASe and Prize Winner choices please carefully follow all of our Clean & Simple Challenge Guidelines plus Glossary of Terms, which you'll find via our 'How To Play' tab at the top of the page. Your designs should feature lots of clean / white / blank / non-patterned space.

Now let's see what fantastic inspiration the design team and our guests have created for you and do check out their personal blogs if you have the time as there could be a couple of bonus cards there!

Hi, I’m Sarah and I love card making, mixed media and basically playing with all types of inks, stamps, stencils, pastes and paints.  Card making challenges got me in to blogging and I have made lots of wonderful friends in blogland.  I have been on several design teams including Less is More and still take part on a regular basis – I am so pleased to be playing along with Sarah and the wonderful DT for this birthday month!  Since leaving LIM, I have started making and selling a range of laser cut stencil designs in my Folksy shop– I am regularly adding to the range and also sell mdf shapes/embellishments.  I hope you can pop over to take a look.  I post regularly on my  blog and it would be great to see you there
